Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to common questions before you visit.
What time is your Sunday service?
We gather on Sundays at 10:30 am. Service begins promptly and lasts about 80 minutes.
If you arrive a few minutes early, you’ll have time to grab coffee, get your kids checked in, and find a seat without feeling rushed.
What should I expect when I walk in?
A relaxed room, clear Bible teaching, and people who won’t pressure you.
Our service includes:
- Singing (Americana and laid-back, not loud or flashy)
- Scripture reading
- A sermon focused on understanding and applying the Bible
- Prayer
No one will single you out or make you stand up. You can come, listen, and leave at your own pace.
What should I wear?
Whatever you normally wear on a casual day.
Most people dress casually: t-shirts, jeans, pullovers, and button-ups are common. You won’t feel underdressed or overdressed.
Do you have kids’ ministry?
Yes. We offer Children’s Ministry during the service, organized by age:
- Infants
- Preschool
- Grade School (during sermon only)
Our goal is to serve families well and teach children in age-appropriate ways while parents are in the service.
Do you have anything for students?
Yes. Our Student Ministry meets on Sunday nights in homes.
It’s centered on Scripture, relationships, and helping students follow Jesus in everyday life.
What kind of church is Chisenhall Fellowship?
We’re a church committed to:
- Clear, conservative biblical teaching
- Taking Scripture seriously without being sensational
- Helping people follow Jesus in real life
We don’t try to manufacture emotional experiences. We focus on understanding the Bible and living it out.
Are you connected to South Burleson Baptist Church?
Yes. Chisenhall Fellowship grew out of South Burleson Baptist Church.
We’re very open about that story. The name change reflects a new season and renewed focus, while holding firmly to the same biblical convictions.
What do you believe about theology and the Bible?
We believe the Bible is God’s Word and is clear, authoritative, and sufficient.
We hold to historic Christian doctrine, including a complementarian understanding of men and women, and we teach through Scripture carefully and thoughtfully.
If you want the full statement, see our Beliefs page.
Do I have to be a Christian to attend?
No. You’re welcome whether you’re convinced, curious, skeptical, or unsure what you believe. We won’t pretend everyone agrees, but we will be honest about what we teach.
What’s the next step after visiting?
The best next step is simply coming back.
From there, we encourage people to find a Home Group. We often say, “find your family.” That’s where relationships deepen and faith is lived out together.
